Arm Circling

If you’re hoping to be able to fly, you’ll be disappointed. But if you circle your arms often enough, you’ll be rewarded with more powerful shoulders and arms and a stronger neck and back.

How to train

  • Feet shoulder-width apart
  • Arms stretched out to the sides at shoulder level
  • Hands outstretched
  • Shoulders, elbows and hands should form a straight line
  • Circle arms

What to look out for

  • Shoulder blades should be pressed together
  • Direction of circles should remain the same for the duration of a challenge
  • Stomach and lower back should be tensed

  • Front of shoulders
  • Back of shoulders

Secondary

  • Trapezius muscle
